Goalies & Parents, For over 11 years, Pure Hockey Goaltending has been dedicated to becoming South Western Ontario’s leader in goaltender development. Our reputation has been built on the continuous evolvement of our curriculum which is designed to help our goalies reach their maximum potential. This summer, in order to accommodate our growing roster of elite net minders, PHG has added an alternative week to our “Advanced Program”. Accomplished and competitive goaltenders now have a choice between either the week of July 12th or August 2nd or both, to take advantage of our comprehensive, 5 day camp. In addition, PHG will team up with Total Package Hockey to offer the “UWOHS Mustang Goalie Camp”. Designed with the novice goalie in mind, the full day camp offered July 26th - 30th, will focus on the basics and the establishment of good technique. Registration and further details for the beginner program can be found on www.totalpackagehockey.com/Canadian Hockey Programs/UWO Hockey School - Full Day Camps. To register for the Advanced Program, please visit www.purehockeygoaltending.com, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly, at the following e-mail address. dave@purehockeygoaltending.com Wishing you a successful season,

Steve McKichan B.S.Ed 519-247-3122 H1N1 AwarenessWith all the cold/flu bugs going around these days it may be wise to try to be proactive and initiate the following practices. Teams should no longer be using and sharing water bottles on the bench. Ask your players to supply their own water bottles and have them clearly marked and labelled. You could ask your managers to pick up a case and use markers to put names on the bottles, in case someone forgets. Handshaking: The OMHA has OK'd to have gloves on , (tap gloves) before a game. The OWHA has put it to policy effective immediately, the OMHA won't be far behind. Hand-sanitizers: Please advise you parents to supply the players with waterless hand sanitizers and encourage the kids to use them frequently.
